I have the same problem. It puts you through the activation process and acts like it worked and then tells you to activate with the product key as if you didn't already do this. I called the number in the "article" after trying to activate by phone and it said my installation code is not recognized. Fortunately I had my old PC otherwise I was completely locked out of my emails. Requested a refund. Not sure how this will end but I have spent way too much time trying to resolve something I didn't know wasn't working until it was too late.
