Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from MyHeritage staff and previous consumers.
Yes I do. Most of my ancestors were born in County Waterford Ireland, and lots of them emigrated to mostly USA and England.
Hi Ray, You don't have to worry about that because we will never remove your information without your request to do so. MyHeritage family sites are based on subscriptions. Basic sites are free. If you are a member of a Basic site (a non-paying member), the limit of people that can be entered in the tree is 250 and the limit of storage space is 500 MB. This includes all family trees on the site, whether they were created online or in Family Tree Builder and published to the site afterward. For more information, please see this popular FAQ: https://www.myheritage.com/help-center#/path/Account-Settings/About-MyHeritage/951695031/Is-MyHeritage-free.htm
Hi Bernard, Thanks for your question. A Family Site Subscription (Premium or PremiumPlus) entitles you to increased storage for your online family tree, and special features to boost your family history research such as Smart Matches and Instant Discoveries. For more information, please follow this URL: https://www.myheritage.com/help-center#/path/Subscriptions-Payments/Site-subscriptions/951698081/What-types-of-subscription-does-MyHeritage-offer.htm Please feel free to e-mail me personally at rafael.vipsupport@myheritage.com if you need any further assistance. Happy to help Rafael
Hi Ron, I'd like to clarify that in order to view and download records, you would need a data subscription and not a PremiumPlus membership. In any case, with that membership, you can download specific records and if you decide to end your membership, you will always have those records attached to your tree. For more information on how to download specific records, please see this FAQ: http://helpcenter.myheritage.com/Discoveries-Research/SuperSearch/35838544/Can-I-download-a-copy-of-a-record-in-SuperSearch.htm Kind Regards Rafael
Hi Julie, Thanks for your question. Smart Matches can very well find matching information from your tree to someone famous if the information is found in our database. Receiving Smart Matches, viewing them and comparing trees side by side are free for all users. Rejecting Smart Matches is also free for all users. The following features are available only to Premium and PremiumPlus site subscribers: · Priority Smart Matches processing · Confirming matches · Saving / Extracting information from Smart Matching · Contacting other tree owners · Copying photos from the matching trees
Do the results show any German ancestry? I had the same issue, in reverse. I have German grandparents and great-grandparents, but my results came back as 56% English and no German. Mind-boggling surprise. I just spoke with a person at MyHeritage this morning, who said it is very common for English people to have German DNA and for German people to have English DNA because of the migrations of the Angles and the Saxons way back when. In my case, the migration went from England to Germany, long enough ago that everybody "became German" but retained the English DNA. Maybe your daughter has German DNA from people who migrated to England long enough ago to "become English"?
