I'm looking to purchase a violin for my daughter for her first year in the school orchestra. Should I be concerned with delays in delivery? Anything i should look out for when it does deliver?

You should be concerned that Musicians Friend has zero integrity. Try Sweetwater, or Zzounds.

I have had too many bad experiences with MF to recommend them. I've had better experiences with Sweetwater.com if you want to buy online.
