No this is not normal but I'm not surprised they would do something like this

Good luck, I'm on the same boat you are. Don't understand why are the "BUYERS" being suspended and not the "SELLERS".

Contact USPS to make a claim. Can also do on their website.

Mercari seems to give 3 days to issue a complaint. After which the deal is done for them. Perhaps you can enter a dispute with your credit card provider?

Why does it take longer and longer to get the funds released and then deposited in my account ?

Answer:

I went thru that too and then it happened Mercari denied that they took the funds from my account after the seller backed out of the deal. Got my bank involved and Now I am the one that is being suspended from Mercari.?

Answer:

Everyone scammed by Mercari should make a report to the FTC as well.

How does "make offer" work? do i get notified if it's accepted or declined?im worried that i have given payment info.

Answer:

You offer a price and then pay. The offer is sent to the seller. If they accept then you will receive a message in your notifications. Your payment is processed so no need for you to do anything else. If they don't accept you will be notified and no payment is made. Its all done through their app and pretty simple

Answer:

I'm talking to customer service right now, I bought a phone $326 and last Saturday I got "the box" with no phone inside! And now thinking about it it was weird that the seller wanted me to rate the transaction the day I pay with out a tracking number :(

Question:

Since you say you have millions of buyers, how do you have the resources to look at each listing!??

Answer:

I don't know how they do it but they deff monitor conversations btwn seller and buyer and make sure that if seller has not shipped product out within the 3 days allotted time that they are for sure sending them a stern reminder to ship out on time. Seller is not paid until buyer receives and inspects purchase and submits approval.
