Happened only a few times in the last six years (under four times)! Extremely rare (and a lot of work for us to manage as we have to call each bidder, and issue refunds manually one by one)... doesn't help the seller either as they are stuck with the goods and need to figure out a way to clear them out.

Correction from Orietta's response - Seller Managed is $300 or 30% whichever is higher. MaxSold managed is 30% or $10 per lot whichever is higher - if those don't come to $1000 we round up the fees to $1000

I will be happy to explain the process in regards to setup. It is important that when our team walks into a home, all your decisions are already made about what to keep vs sell. All items that are in boxes are unpacked and easy to photograph (holiday decorations or items in a garage can stay in the boxes). Any items that are not for sale should be moved away and segregated from items that are for sale. Books, China, and dishes in the kitchen can all stay where they are. If the MaxSold team has to sort through items, move things from room to room, or open and unpack that is considered setup and is an additional fee. The sales team can refer you to a professional organizer if you need assistance in getting things ready for the team.
