Answer:
Because of Martha Stewart's name. I thought that quality would be good because Martha Stewart grows and uses organic vegetables and I like her recipes.

Are there other similar companies to Martha & Marley Spoon that are less expensive or better?
Answer:
"Home Chef" is so far so good! We got tired of similar taste at Home Chef so I ordered from "Hello Fresh" but they started to deliver old carrots that could bend and didn't snap many times. I was tired to complain so I used my own carrots and terminated this company.
We still like Home Chef so we have ordered from them for about a year.
