Hi. I have my prom in 9 days and I found this dress which is really nice and isn't that expensive. It said that the shipping time would be 24 hours and 3-4 business days. (I live in london btw). But I have read so many bad reviews about this website and so little good reviews and I don't know if I should get the dress. Please help!

I would not buy from them. Their customer service sucks. I ordered something to be delivered before Christmas and paid for expedited shipping and didn't receive it until after the new year. The shipping didn't take long, it was the "processing" which was not told to me. Any good reviews you see are paid lackeys from the company.

I'm with the others. I wouldn't take the risk. Oh, and I bought a jacket for my husband (from LightInTheBox) about a month ago, and a week later they advised me that they didn't have that advertised jacket and 3 days later I got a refund through PayPal. So the dress might not actually be in stock anyway. I think they started out as a good site, have grown too quickly for their systems to cope. I think they've taken their eye off the ball, so to speak. Good luck.

I live in Staffordshire, my order took over a month and on top of the £20 shipping costs I paid, I had to pay nearly £40 on customs charges before parcel force would release my package! My advice is don't order it, you live in London there are hundreds of shops to choose a fantastic dress for your prom! Don't ruin a memorable day by ordering a dress that won't get delivered in time and remember it will cost you to send it back if you don't like it! I hope you find a fantastic dress and you have a lovely time ☺

I have found them to be very good. Anything that you buy with speedy delivery will usually get a customs charge. But they inform you every step of the way and you find out the amount before delivery. I have purchased so many things for myself in the UK and for my daughters and grandchildren in NZ. They ate fine. If you get the free delivery that takes a month approx, it usually doesn't get charges applied by customs.
Kind regards
Trish

Hi Cheryl,
The wedding, mother of the bride, bridal, and evening wear section of LightinTheBox are really good at despatching in time, and if your dress, in the size you want and colour you want is in that section, and they dont have to tailor it for you (you will find the ready to wear ones they have in the sizes and colours they have available at the bottom of the page before the sizing chart) I would contact them and find out if they can send it Expedited and immediately, i. E. Via courier. It does cost a little more though. If they havent got your size or your colour forget it. You have left it a little bit late, and you might have to have a back up dress ready, but who knows. If you are hell bent on that dress I would ask them if I were you. No harm in asking, is there? The quality of the dresses is really good in that section. In any case, whatever your decision, Enjoy yourself, dont let a dress spoil the great day.

I don't think I would take my chances... You only have 9 days, its going to take longer than that to process the order...

I agree with Cheryl B, I wouldn't rely on it ans so I wouldn't order it. You're better off taking the next 9 days to look in different stores for your prom dress.

If you choose the cheapest which is the standard shipping that you don't need to pay shipping fee that's not gonna happen but if u will choose with shipping fee, that could be. The thing is don't take the risk. If it's a month before that can be possible and no worries that it will come before your prom. Enjoy the prom!

I'm actually really fond of the site, I am! I've ordered women's tops, jewelry, watches, and few dresses on there and as long as I've followed the sizing guidelines, I've been very happy.

However shipping time has never, ever been consistent. My last order was delayed over a month while my most recent was shipped out within 5 days. Since prom is such an important event, I don't know that I would leave it to chance.

If it's not too expensive and you've got a quick back-up change of wardrobe in mind, you could always order and cross your fingers that it makes it. It will probably be a very cute dress but I just don't see it coming in time.
