Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from Indeed staff and previous consumers.
Hi Carl, thank you for reaching out. It is normal that all accounts will be reviewed, we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. If enough information is not provided when the account is being created, then it will go into the appeal status that your friend's account is likely experiencing. They can submit an appeal by logging into their account and clicking the "Appeal this decision" link. Feel free to contact us at sitejabber@indeed.com with any additional questions.
Hi Joseph, thanks for reaching out to us. Indeed is not involved in the hiring process and it is the responsibility of the employer to close ads once the roles are no longer available. We would recommend following up with the employer to know for sure, however, we're happy to have a look into any ads you have questions on. Feel free to reach out to us at sitejabber@indeed.com referencing this question.
Hi Ellen, To explain, job postings on Indeed are either uploaded directly by the employer, pulled from their website, or pulled from another career site. If a job appears on Indeed this means the employer has actively posted the job themselves and should mean that they are hiring for the position. That being said, while we always encourage employers to close or remove their jobs when they have made a hire, unfortunately, we cannot communicate with all employers regarding every job that they post. If you have examples of jobs that you know of that are not actively hiring please send them to us at sitejabber@indeed.com and we will check this out for you.
Hi Bridget, thanks for reaching out to us. Some accounts may have to sponsor ads if the ads do not meet our quality guidelines or Terms of Service. You can keep track of your costs and your ad performance by using our "Performance Report" tool under the "Jobs" tab. If you have any specific questions or would like us to clarify anything further on your account, we're happy to help! Please contact us at sitejabber@indeed.com referencing this review.
Hi Tin, thanks for reaching out to us. You can upload or build a resume on Indeed once you create an account. If you visit www.indeed.com, you can click "Upload your resume" on the upper right-hand corner. If you create an account, there will be an option to build your resume under the drop down menu if you click on your email address in the upper right-hand corner. Feel free to contact us at sitejabber@indeed.com if you have any questions!
Hi Gokul, thank you for reaching out. All accounts go through a moderation process to ensure our guidelines are met. If enough information is not provided when the account is being created, then the account will go into the appeal status that you're now experiencing. We have responded to your review by private message. Feel free to follow up there so we can further assist.
Hi Andu, we take job quality very seriously here at Indeed. We work to proactively identify and remove predatory content from search results. In fact, we have an entire team dedicated to this effort. Thank you for reaching out, Carol! If a job appears on Indeed this means the employer has actively posted the job themselves and should mean that they are hiring for the position. Since jobs posted on Indeed are either uploaded directly by the employer, pulled from their website, or pulled from another career site, we would suggest reaching out to the employer directly to ensure they are actively hiring. If you have any additional questions or concerns feel free to reach us directly at sitejabber@indeed.com. We wish you the best of luck in your search!
