Why do you allow people to book hotels that are so run down, dirty have false advertising and pictures that do not actually represent the hotels?

I booked a hotel through hotels.com and immediately cancelled it. I was told that the funds would be refund in 30 days which is more than unacceptable. Reading your comments I am aware that I'll have to start a lawsuit if I don't get my money ($739.88) back soon. I don't want to wait 30 days and allow hotels.com to use my money in the meantime.
I called the White Rock Waterpark and Beach Hotel and they said they are not affiliated with hotels.com... why is that? Does that mean they won't honor the booking I will make with hotels.com?

Usually won't take that long.
Better email them without making another reservation.
Sometimes their email went to SPAM.
