I booked with guest reservations. Will my room really be reserved?

Generally speaking, yes. But you will have overpaid a fraudulent company in the process. Your best bet is to contact your credit card issuer, have them note it as a "disputed transaction", and then book a new hotel reservation directly with the hotel, or with a reputable company. "Guest Reservations" survives by preying upon vulnerable people who do not understand that in the United States and Europe, you are protected against such fraudulent activity. You will win as long as you promptly "dispute" the charges with your credit card carrier.
