I read that for returns you can get a store credit or the money back the same way you paid for it. I have several items that say they can be returned so am I in for a fight?

I have made returns many times. If it is returnable, you will get free return shipping if you choose store credit. If you want the refund processed back to your card, you will have to pay for the return shipping. I don't think you are in for a fight. I've had success using the chat option to get returns processed.

I think it may depend on the item. The bag I purchased was over $2000, so they refunded my credit card. You may want to contact customer service (good luck. They are terrible) it took me about 2 months for them to even set up my return because the communication was so poor! Best of luck!

In my situation, it was noted on the website that the dishes I ordered were not returnable. When they arrived, half the mugs were broken. After reading other reviews, I wasn't sure how it would be handled. I contacted customer service by email about the problem including the fact that the items weren't properly packed or marked on the outside,"Fragile, handle with cate". I was pleasantly surprised to receive a reasonable credit on my credit card.

It depends on the item - some items are returnable, some are not. It seems that more and more they are not - but you can see that in the item description, so it shouldn't be a surprise.

I've not had to return anything, but I'd assume if the article is qualified for return you should be able to get a refund. I've purchased 3 times from Ideel and so far have loved everything so haven't had any experience with customer service. The key to shopping satisfaction with sites like this is knowing what to expect. READ every item description carefully. Terms can be different from item to item. Seems you've done that so I'd say start your return experience assuming the best.
