I've booked a flight from Sfo to Sal on Dec 8th, I got an email with a confirmation number however the e-ticket was not generated. I've called your cst service number and they told me that it will be arriving later today. Still no e-ticket in my mailbox. Do I have to worry?

You need to PANIC! The owners of this company should be imprisoned and have the keys thrown away forever! They caused me 3 days of HELL, not to mention they took away the last days I would ever get to spend with my mother because instead of spending them with her, I was on the phone and internet over 36 HOURS trying to find out what they did with my tickets I paid for to get home! They would not reply to any of my emails and I wasted over 1500 cell phone minutes (I have a pre-paid phone, I pay 10cents per minute!) Then, I stayed up all night on a phone in the hallway of the nursing home my mother was in, to NO AVAIL! They just put my calls on hold and NEVER answered my calls! They sold me a R/T ticket from MISSOULA to HILO with 2 connecting flights, but then they retracted one of my connecting flights so I was going to be stuck in LA with no way to get to the next airport that connected to Hilo. So, I had to pay an additional $350 to get a connecting flight... I HATE EVERYONE AFFILIATED WITH FAREGEEKS! I hope Karma gets each and everyone of them! Do NOT Trust ANYTHING they tell you! They are ALL Scammers!

Good luck with this. I lost our full fare and got only a run around for months from this company. Scam artists for sure. They should be closed down.

This is the worst travel sight to buy anything off. Once you see how horrible their customer serivce is you'll understand. Half of the people commenting on the good service is probably paid to say that.

These guys are fraud, next (around 6th Dec) they will tell you the ticket had to be canceled as one of their partners could not issue the ticket, by the time they inform you about cancellation or no booking, the ticket prices would have gone up and you'll be left with no choice but pay higher amount. These guys will still offer you slightly lower price than what other websites will be offering so that you again fall in their trap. If you decide to cancel your ticket now then they'll deduct up to 60% your ticket price which of course is not written any where in the terms and conditions. And after some time you'll see that some more transaction is done on your credit card by XYZ agency without your consent. This agency will be the partner company of faregeek. Faregeek will keep saying that besides cancellation charges of 60% the other transaction done by their partner is illegal and they will refund the money but your money will never come. You'll raise a claim with the card company who'll disagree with you as you gave an authorization to Faregeek to do the transaction for buying the ticket and the bank after their investigation will tell you that faregeek and the other company are partners and no money can be refunded. How do I know all of this? IT HAPPENED WITH ME

Most likely. The only way I stopped it was to call my bank and not allow the payment to process. There trick is to hold onto your bank info and when the price goes up (lots) then they process. When you talk to them about it, they want to charge processing and cancelation fees and they tell you, "try to find it any cheaper on the now short notice." Due to my experience and reading about the experiences of others! You're in my prayers. Good luck mate.

I would worry too. I got a confirmation number, then an email a couple of days later saying my credit card was declined, and they could re-book me at a higher price.

Just confirm with the actual airline you're flying with. Once you pay and get conformation through the airline, then ignore all other communication from faregeek and all other parties. Most importantly, learn a lesson and never book through them again. :)

I would trust DanF's public assurance that your problem will be resolved. Post an update if your problem is indeed solved.

Call them. Go through to investigation team hold is like 10 minutes. Give them your confirmation number and they'll resend it. Their customer service is really good.

In my experience you should worry. You might get a call to say, the price offered was not right, plane fully booked, or any other thing and ask you to pay more.
