Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from DHgate staff and previous consumers.
Well they always say Hindsight is better than 20/20. Either two things wait for the dress and hope it's okay. The other thing since you just ordered it. Call the bank and tell them you believe that it's a fraud and ask them to refund it. If the dress has already been sent and you get it and it's alright you can always do the right thing and pay for the dress as you agreed to. On the other hand if it turns out you are being ripped off then you can always use that as to why you cancelled the payment because of fraud. LIke what the other comments made check out the vendor to see how they are rated.
I didn't have a problem with the site. I just had and still have a problem with the company.
There aren't this many bad reviews for no reason! Save your $ and hassle and buy from a reputable company, not DHgate!
I will just repeat what others are saying, it is very doubtful that you will get your money back. So your only option is this. If you paid by credit card I would file for a return with the credit card company on the amount that you paid. You cancelled the order and the company was going to cancel the charge. Let DHGate or the vender dispute it, which I doubt if they will.
DO NOT BUY... REPEAT, DO NOT BUY... You will lose ALL or some of your money, trust me on this, how they are allowd to be in business in unfathomable, pay extra and get legit merchandise, and use Pay Pal

It's a Chinese based website. It operates somewhat like eBay except that there is no buyer protection. There are individual sellers, each selling their own items. The seller who I purchased from sent me a shipment that was missing pieces which were advertised in the sale. When I asked for a refund, I was told to send the incomplete order back, which I did with a tracking service, but was never given the refund. So the seller kept my money and got his/her merchandise back. DHgate does nothing to help a buyer who has any problem with an order. I would stay away. Stick to eBay or Amazon where there is buyer protection from scam artists.
I would suggest not buying from them. Problems, lies, misrepresentation and no way to get fixed
I can only speculate, based on my experience, that DHGate is not relying on repeat customers. As long as they are raking in enough cash, their racket will continue. With 3 billion web users in the world http://www.statista.com/statistics/273018/number-of-internet-users-worldwide/ A small fraction as one-off customers will suit DHGate just fine.
I wouldn't risk it. I ordered some shoes and they wanted a photo copy of my credit card AFTER they charged it before they would ship my order. I refused and it took a long time to get my refund. Some reviewers never received their refund. I found the same shoes at a more reputable website with out the shady practices.
