Question:

I have yet to win, on memorial day i got close, on a few items and doing the checking process deal dash came up and out bid me. i won a couple of nice items, for a few dollars but they was out bid by deal dash. who really is not supposed to be bidding. i couldn't believe it at first but once it happen to me when i was bidding on portable generator for 4.88 and was out bid again by deal dash, and a sewing machine for 2.78, and a fireplace. why is this allowed.

Answer:

Hi Patricia, Thank you for getting in touch. I am sure this has been a misunderstanding. DealDash is audited by Ernst & Young, confirming that all bids are placed by real customers and all items are delivered. DealDash members and their acquaintances are strictly banned from taking part in the auctions. My guess is that another user may have chosen a user name similar to DealDash. If so, we'll need to change it to avoid confusion. Please send me an email with your user name, so I can find the auctions and spot the user. My email is adrian@dealdash.com I look forward to hearing from you. Best, Adrian Community Manager

Question:

I am on social security, my credit is not good. your item would do me a lot of help, including my 83 year old mother. i do have a bank account with my credit union from the job i retired from. i would like to know if it is possible to join, or not. thank you for your time!

Answer:

Hi Jeannie, anyone can join our service however in order to participate it's required to purchase bids first. While we can't guarantee everyone will win an auction we do provide everyone with the option to Buy it Now. This means if you don't win, you can buy the item at regular price and get your bids back to try again. Keep in mind we are a shopping site so if you're on a limited income we advise you to spend wisely.

Question:

Why do bidders overbid on gift cards. bidding $70 on a $10 gift card?

Answer:

Hi Bob, Thanks for your question. On occasion we run special deals for "free" auction wins. During these auctions, the bidding proceeds as usual but the final auction winner will not be required to pay the final sales price. Instead the winner receives the product free of charge and only pays a $0.01 processing fee. Since the winner only has to pay a penny instead of the normal sales price, it is not unusual to see people bid over the price. I hope this helps. Feel free to contact us if you have any further questions or concerns and we'll be happy to help! Best, Adrian Community Manager

Question:

Ok, i'm new to this, what exactly happens to the bids to the non-winners and would not like to purchase items, are they refundable.

Answer:

Hi Jackie. If you decide to give DealDash a try and don't win an auction with your first bid pack we'll return the bids back to your account free for a second chance. After that, if you do not win an auction you will not automatically get the bids back to your account. You have the option to use the Buy it Now button. By using the Buy it Now option you will get the item for retail price and all bids back to your account that you used in the auction. Users who take advantage of this option usually have a better experience, since they both get the item they initially wanted, as well as retain all their bids. If you do not want to use Buy it Now you will unfortunately lose the bids. We recommend our users to bid on items they really want, so that if they lose the auction, they can still get the item and their bids back. Let me know if you have more questions!

How can i change my shipping address?

Answer:

Hi Rebecca, Thanks for getting in touch. Each time you win an Auction or place a 'Buy it Now' order, you will be prompted to input your address, Note: DealDash uses the address on your last order as your address on file, until the next order. Please feel free to get in contact with us if there's anything else you need. We'll be happy to help.
