Answer:

Don't prepay for anything online without having a phone number and email address to the person, then check their reviews and do your homework before going into any business with them. If it looks almost too good to be true, you are probably going to find yourself with something stuck waaaay up your behind. If you read reviews about Booking.com online, you will find that they don't really give a sheet about you or your problems. They have no phone, address or email you can reach them on. Go ahead, try to get someone to talk to about your problems... Good luck.

Why have you charged me the full rate which includes a cancellation - but it states that i am not allowed to cancel 72 days before my stay - you also stated that i only pay at the hotel - but you have taken the money from my credit card - why are you trying to con your customers? i feel conned and if i do not hear back from you today - with my money refunded to my account and the booking cancelled made via your company i will be officially asking the ombudsman to look into your trading standards. still waiting to hear back from you - you were certainly quick enough to take my order.

Same experience i have talked to the hotel and said that they will not refund what is debited to my credit card even though i cancel it 6 days before the actual date.

I booked several places for my trip in may in new zealand. used booking.com. worried now after reading reviews. i actually have changed a few places and cancelled. all are free of charge. should i be concerned?

Answer:

No, don't be concerned. In fact, the other way around for me. I booked thru hotel directly for one night and the hotel screwed me over. Booking.com is the only 3rd party website I'll use to book accommodations. They get the best prices and give you the option to book and cancel without penalty in most cases. In fact, I booked one night thru the hotel directly and one thru Booking.com at the same hotel. The hotel overcharged me by trying to circumvent Booking.com. I prefer the guarantee of Booking.com and unless it's a reputable and international hotel chain, I won't go directly to the hotel on "trust" and "pay upon arrival". I was bait and switched on the night I did NOT go thru Booking.com - so Booking.com has earned my trust. Further, when I had an issue, Booking.com genuinely tried to resolve it for me with customer service agents who didn't write canned responses - but took the time to read and understand the issue. I will definitely use Booking.com again.

Can invoice be paid other than by credit card? if so how?

Every hotel I have visited accepts cash at checkout. They do require a credit card to reserve or check in.

Crappy site. A bunch of thieves. Buyer beware. Had to get a lawyer and deal with bank to resolve my problem with booking. Com. They will get your money. Do not give them your credit card.

I have just returned from a 10 night stay in spain booked through booking.com and the apartment and facilities were not as described. one bedroom had bare electric wires poking from the wall, the kitchen was inadequate and not as described. what or who is booking. coms' governing body that i want to complain to?

Answer:

Contact your credit card company and file a dispute. They will credit your account immediately while they research the problem and wait for an answer from booking.com Be sure to upload any screenshots or photographs of receipts you may have when filing a complaint with your credit card company. Make sure you file your complaint within 30 days after you get your credit card statement.

I booked an apartment in nego lodge accra ghana through booking.com only to be given a 10x10 ft room. upon enquiry i was informed that i could use the common kitchen and lounge. i am very frustrated as i was looking forward to spending two weeks in doors.

Answer:

You may get some compensation from the hotel/apartment owners. You will get no recompense from Booking.com and you are wasting your time trying. One of these days Booking.com might wake up to the fact that customer experience and feedback is important.
