Question:

Answer:

Call their 800 number, cancel your renewal (they won't cancel a membership before, and and they NEVER issue a refund), and GET A CANCELLATION CODE NUMBER! If you get charged again, you can call them back with the code number and then (and only then) get a refund. You can cancel online under "Your Account"/"Subscription Options"/"Cancel Subscription" but when I tried that option once, I was renewed anyway, and when I called, the rep said their records did not show a cancellation request. Thus, I strongly recommend calling if you can find the number. They have apparently removed all phone numbers from their site.

Question:

Kind of ridiculous that you cant actually get a free trial, like why would you falsely advertise for that.

Answer:

Yes you can get the free two weeks. You have to give them your credit card information because they count on you not knowing you need to cancel before they start billing you at the and of the two weeks. What they don't explain clearly is that you have to actually cancell the free subscription PRIOR to the two week ending period. I would cancel it the very next day after signing up. You will still be allowed the two weeks. Then if you like it you can resubscribe. Always cancel a few days prior to whatever your sub date ending is or they WILL continue charging you and you will not get a refund of any kind.

Question:

Why are so many of my new hints actually information i submitted years ago and are now attributed to other people.

Answer:

I couldnot agree more. I keep getting family tree info from many, many trees from people who copied my originall well reseaerched file and made bad changed and errors. It is disgusting.

Question:

Answer:

If you are a member of Ancestry log in and go to the top of the page and click on DNA and then my results. They seem to be having major issues with links at the moment from trying to roll out this new version I am guessing, but you should be able to see your results and NO extra charge. Angela
