It doesn't work. Read reviews other than from the AirBnB site, don't rely on stars, don't believe what airbnb tells youand research, research, research. I'm cutting my losses and getting out asap. Good luck!

Answer:

Because Airbnb Deletes some bad reviews if a valuable host asks. Airbnb do not care if you are safe or not, as long as they make money. They do not even show correct vicinity sometime before booking. You end up different location, and more scams

Go to the customer service page, and select the issue that applies to you most. You could also call them, but messaging is less time consuming.

I was on the site and the price quoted in canadian dollars. when i got my credit card statement, the price had been converted to usd. how can they get away with quoting in cad and charging the same price in usd? Answer:

Get a screen shot, and call your credit card company and file a complaint, and ask for a refund. Your credit card company will want some verfication, they won't just take your word for it.

Why is your website impossible to navigate, and there is no help available (phone, chat or email) that i can see. the "help center" is just childishly inept.

Answer:

Because it's cheaper and more profitable to focus on the 80% who just pay their money and go away. There's no percentage in it for them to spend a whole lot of money for a small number of people, who are probably too fussy any way.

I need to check on an airbnb, specifically vrbo and a company handling the property named everest mwamba investments. yelp had several reviews. about 50/50 for positive/negative. also is it commonplace for one of these businesses to ask you to pay by check or wire the money and not pay by credit card? i'm checking cause i dont want to spend this kind of money only to find out when i get to san francisco, i have no where to stay cause they cashed my check and rented it out. Answer:

VRBO is associated with Home Away. Airbnb is a separate entity, not related to the Home Away group. Not commonplace to involve "wiring of money". Airbnb handles payments and fees. It wants your credit card info. And probably wants your bank info. If that's how you want to pay. The Home Away group sometimes wants your banking info. If the destination place has them handle the payments. Some Home Away listing sites, including VRBO allow listed sites to collect payment directly from renters.

I cancelled a booking the same day i made it as the person i was visiting chaged her availability. because the booking was 7 days out and the host had a flexible cancellation policy, they agreed to a refund but it seems the service fee will still be charged. this is wrong as no services had actually been provided. what can i do? Answer:

Try to contact their customer service line and if that doesn't work, dispute it on your credit card
