Care.com is a sophisticated scam! They rip you off with their auto renewal policy, which of course is in fine print. Also, unlike other membership services the "auto renew" option is stated as "downgrade option" which is meant to MISGUIDE. In addition, Care.com does not provide any written notices to their customers to notify that their membership is renewed prior or after the renewal. How convenient!
Before they start throwing their policy in customer's face, they should look into "evergreen clause" state by state, which requires companies to provide written notices prior to billing cycle.
I believe most of their income comes from such auto-renewed membership charges, which members did not intend to auto-renew!
Good luck with finding their contact number and when you do, they will come up with horrible excuses to not refund you. I found customer service number of complaint website.
About finding care that you need, half of the responses " matches" are from local businesses that you can find from directory anyways and "fake" profiles.
It is a sophisticated scam to exploit using modern marketing tactics!
Tip for consumers:
Check your "auto renew" ( evergreen clause) state policies. Some state (and most will soon folllow) have strict guidlines so that consumers are not exploited.
