In September of this year I noticed my site was down. I reached out to BluDomain since this has happened every year I have been with them. They finally responded to me in October and they said I didn't pay my domain fee of $20. They had never sent an invoice so they sent it and I paid it that day, Oct 11. Still no site. I sent multiple responses asking for help and finally today, Nov. 13, they tell me my domain was sold because it had expired. I am beyond upset - years of building a business with that domain name and now it's gone. Worst customer service ever. I thought about switching over when my site went down last year for the 4th year in a row and didn't - wish I would have. If you have them I would highly suggest switching now!
Maria, the domain registrar is not BluDomain. If you don't pay your domain name and you allow it to stay expired which is over a month in your case. Domain investors can pick up your domain name in GoDaddy auctions. We have zero control of this. We invoice 3 months out. It's not fun, it's frustrating but we simply can't watch over accounts in the way the actual owner can.
