In a way it pains me to rate this service so low, as I have had good service from them for a long time (almost 4 years). But lately there have been too many changes, and if you dare to complain, you are shuffled around among different people, and left on hold for longer and longer times while the call volume on your phone drops away. Earlier this week, I had the FBI Virus removed, and purchased a 'tune-up" for seventy bucks (I prepaid for the virus removal). When the job was done, I shut down for several hours, then fired up the next morning, and noticed a boot-up time of several minutes. When I complained, I was told that it was probably something else, and I would have to pay another fifty dollars to have it fixed. Say Whaaaaat? So much for their seven-day guarantee. When my subscription is up, I'm gone. I'm going to use a local tech, and learn to do more myself.

English is the language of business and governent in India. Everyone must learn it; there are over 150 more languages spoken on the subcontinent. So shouldn't people in India, especially those in customer support jobs, speak it better? Apparently this is not a requirement at Majestec. When you subscribe to their "service" they don't even install a link on your computer, you must call an 800 number. In about half of the instances, it will ring 10 times and then cut off. And the quality of the techs is very uneven, except that most of them aren't very good. It takes me multiple calls to resolve anything. And when they tell you they'll call back the next day, don't wait by the phone; it ain't gonna happen. I'm still looking for a good tech support website. This is NOT one of them.

I tried the site after seeing the TV ad. Got some good results on a few people, then started geting out-of-date info. I back checked myself and found my "current" address as a place in another state at which I had not lived since 1992! I've tried to correct it twice (I've moved FIVE times since then), with no results. It lists my parents as alive, and they both died in 2007! When my contract expires, I'm not renewing.

When the so-called "gurus" at one of my ISPs (also my DSL provider) could not reslove my problem, they sent me to iYogi. Everybody there treated me with courtesy and resolved my problem with on call. For my hundred seventy simoleons, I get 24/7 assistance in removing software and other problems. Sure, they're in India, but so what? I get a year of polite and competent assistance. And my computer was full of junk files and long running programs that were slowing me down, and eating memory, and this was the best and easiest way. I'm as contented as an oyster under the dock of a cornmeal mill.

The second PC I purchased, after 13 years of living with and older, frustrating model from another manufacturer. The first one I bought (after my spouse's death) had a bad motherboard. I had to take it back about 50 miles to the vendor, and get a replacement. I did not relize it at the time, but the write head on this one's drive is defective, and I did not find this out until after the warranty had expired. Repeated e-mails to the manufacturer have brought no response at all. If you're in the market for a new PC, you would be well advised to avoid this brand.

The selection is wide, I found everything I was looking for quickly. Prints are often available in several sizes, and are of good quality. The packaging is good, the shipment is quick, and the prices are reasonable. If you want good art reproductions at reasonable prices, shop here, find a reasonable framer, and enjoy. An excellent experience. My apartment looks a lot better now, and no more Thrift Shop art.

  • AdultFriendFinder

This is the first dating site I tried. It seemed mostly populated by girls about 20 years old who apparently could not afford much clothing. They were sooooooooo interested in a 60-plus, overweight, bald, amputee! And so many looked exactly the same in their "photo albums". And so many have Master's Degrees in Transportation Engineering - this is the best they can do? I have a better imagination than that. A complete waste of time and fortune. Stay away if you are a real human being.

Filled with people (?) who send automated messages. I have a rather narrow set of requirements (I'm disabled and don't travel well any more) and live on the Alabama Gulf Coast. I'd keep getting messages from people 1/3 my age (I'm 64) or from somebody in Maine who wants to "meet for a cup of coffee". I spoke to a representative who said he'd narrow the search parms - never happened. When I tried to cancel my membership, my credit card was charged for two more months, because you have to call another company completely to stop those charges. A total rip, and a waste of natural resources.

Most of the people on this site do not even bother to answer letters (I didn't bother with those silly "flirts".) And good luck trying to leave, I had to go to my bank and have the nice lady there cancel the deduction from my checking account!

I finally had to drop this site entirely; it is loaded with scammers. I got one inquiry from someone claiming to be a 114-year-old, 4'5", blad actress of African American descent. Oh, Please. I was getting several a day for a while, all unsolicited, none of whom showed up in the regualr stream. Apparently a lot of these scammers are on the West Coast of Africa, they are very flowery in their letters, but have nothing to say about themselves. Instead, they prattle on about "love". Don't wste your time. As an experiment, I created another personality from a different ISP, and got the same "match" recommendations on both ISPs. What a waste of carbon and oxygen.

They appear to have many tchnical problems. My Internet Explorer occasionally goes crazy here, and I've had several notifications of attack attempts by my security software. About half of the people I write do respond, and I have found two definite possibilities. But the IM feature stinks; it keeps cutting off.
