I recently tried to book a 3 leg flight to Europe through Kayak.com but ran into problems and contacted Lufthansa directly by phone. Not only did I get the same deal as Kayak, but it was much easier. The flight was GREAT. Comfortable seat, good food, free wine and excellent flight attendants. It made the long 11 hours on a plane pass easily.

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is my flight home. Since they do not offer a direct flight from London to Los Angeles they put me on a flight "operated by" United Airlines which I didn't realize until I got the conformation email. United flights are never as good as Lufthansa flights.

I booked the Eurostar train from Parris to London. I paid extra for an upgrade from the lowest coach fare that included more comfortable seats, a meal & wine.

As far as I can tell there was no difference from the standard coach to the upgrade I had paid for. The seats seemed to be purposefully uncomfortable - they didn't recline enough so your head would fall forward if you dozed off even though there was plenty of room for reclining seats. The meal & wine advertised consisted of room temperature entrees and a little bottle of wine doled out before we were even clear of the station at an unnaturally early time - 4PM even though we had a 2 1/2 hour ride ahead of us. The French attendants on board didn't seem to care about our comfort at all, though they did spend the entire ride monitoring the train and scolding anyone who used their cell phone at their seat instead of going to the baggage area.

The train is a wonderfully fast way to travel between London & Paris. Its a shame they make it a bad experience.

I shopped in store and got a great ceiling fan for my craftsman home. I love it so much I decided to go on line and order a second fan that I had seen in the store, or to look at other models since they only carry about 12 in store. The website makes it difficult to sort through the 1000+ fans they carry. Ie; if they sell the same style fan in different sizes, or a comparable style fan, they are listed randomly mixed in with all the other fans. I tried to 'narrow your search' function but found that some fans that fit my criteria were omitted.

I went on line thinking it would be easier than going to the store. I spent over an hour sorting through fans. Now I have to go to the store anyway.

I sent the following message to them following several problems;

"I booked with you with no problem.

You sent me an email to check in for my flight. I couldn't. Your link just sent me to your site to buy more tickets.

You sent me an email to rate my experience. I couldn't. The link just sent me to your site to buy more tickets.

I had to search to even find a way to give you feed back. Here it is.

Never again."

I also gave them a rating of 1 star. But the site simply refused to accept it and gave me this screen;

"There is some technical issue while submitting request. Please try after some time."
