I'm travelling on Eurostar for now 10 years (5 to 7 times a year) People are very nice, helpful and if you booked it in advance, you've got a good price (last minute is very expensive) St Pancras is a nice terminal.

Trying to change the retour ticket weeks in advance. Same price at that point, site still asks full price for what is advertised to be free (7 days in advance, and same ticket price), so to customer service... They receive too many calls, so they shut off all the phones, online contact form: no reaction, mail: "we'll try to answer in 28 days"! When arrived: no you're too late you have to pay 700+ euro for what should have been FREE! Even if boarding went smooth, this is by far the worst service I ever experienced.

I booked early, 6 months before my summer holiday, and then 4 months later, 7 weeks before departure, Eurostar informs me that my trip has been canceled due to work. Leaving later is not possible because all hotels and apartments are now packed and what is left is twice as expensive. Have to fly now which has become extremely expensive so shortly before departure. This now costs me about 700 euros in extra travel costs. Ridiculous. Thank you Eurostar.

Eurostar changed our train time at check in without telling us, resulting in us missing the correct train and then left us (2 adults and 2 children) with no seats and left us sitting on the floor like animals. We had to beg other passengers to at least let our children sit down. And now, after many emails back and forward with the usual generic defensive nonsense, they refuse to refund us or accept any wrongdoing whatsoever "well you made it back didn't you? We fulfilled our service". I would whole heartedly advise people to avoid them at all (extremely expensive) costs! Shame on you Eurostar!

Tip for consumers:
The company is interested only in making money and is not prepared to accept responsibility when things go wrong.

Awful experience from the start to the end.
It is certainly a very lucrative business. 18 carriages filled with passengers paying a fortune for tickets. About 14 trains a day. But passengers only get a minimum necessary. Shame.
Very noisy, dirty and crowded in London terminal. Not enough seating.
Same in Paris. Too many passengers and not enough space, no seats, very uncomfortable, very limited offer in the evening in the cafes. Dirty, smelly toilet, no soap, broken hand dryers. Shocking.

Con - When i went back to book a eurostar trip which for some reason, payment was denied, the price had increased by 100 pounds. I gurantee theses types of websites have programs which increase the price to con people!

Was refused boarding from Amsterdam to Brussels because I should have checked in 1 hour in advance. This was neither listed on ticket nor notified in any way. Furthermore: 1) app is very buggy and often crashes during booking, 2) frequent travel programme does not work on many trips, 3) Corona refund policy has been very restrictive, often not working properly via website, and staying far behind competitors, 4) communications are often misdirected, e.g. I received an email "Since you are soon traveling to the UK …" whereas I traveled from Amsterdam to Brussels. I have had it and am scrapping Eurostar from my preferred travel options. The only good thing about Eurostar: their on-board staff is very friendly and helpful

Do not book with them. These people are thieves. We have booked to go to Brussels for a day with a hen party. After booking we found out the local trains are on strike and jus I was unable to get to London so unable to travel. Eurostar will not refund my money no matter what. They are too that in sympathetic when you ask to speak to someone in a senior position they don't even have the guts to speak to you. It's not my fault I am unable to travel. The trains are striking Friday and Saturday so not even able to come a day before. It is a joke. They have no empathy and they just want to take peoples money.

Tip for consumers:
They are thieves and I will be taking this further.

Website not working, designed to fail, hiding help. Not adding your trips to club member automatically. Not creating a club member automatically. Claiming points not possible for 4 months after Chrismas to prevent clients to claim club member points.

I take the Eurostar from London St Pancras to Paris Gare Du Nord. The ride is good. Comfortable seats. Tickets were booked online and steps are easy to follow!

I booked the Eurostar train from Parris to London. I paid extra for an upgrade from the lowest coach fare that included more comfortable seats, a meal & wine.

As far as I can tell there was no difference from the standard coach to the upgrade I had paid for. The seats seemed to be purposefully uncomfortable - they didn't recline enough so your head would fall forward if you dozed off even though there was plenty of room for reclining seats. The meal & wine advertised consisted of room temperature entrees and a little bottle of wine doled out before we were even clear of the station at an unnaturally early time - 4PM even though we had a 2 1/2 hour ride ahead of us. The French attendants on board didn't seem to care about our comfort at all, though they did spend the entire ride monitoring the train and scolding anyone who used their cell phone at their seat instead of going to the baggage area.

The train is a wonderfully fast way to travel between London & Paris. Its a shame they make it a bad experience.

First class on the Eurostar from London to Brussels is worth it - Firstly, I am a big fan of the Eurostar from London to Paris and Brussels. It's fast, it's clean, and I enjoy the ride. But in particular, First Class is a pleasure. The service is great and the food is very good. Last time I rode from London to Brussels 1st class was only 150 euros, and was served a very good 5 course meal, all I could drink wine, and I was seated near a very pleasant fellow. Good value in my book, and I recommend it.

Also, students under 25 should check for very good deals.
