I have been harassed by this man who put an ad onto care.com and of course I fell for it. I am just trying to make extra money for my family and I figured babysitting would be good for me and my son. Well, I get a message from a person who claims to be a man named Thomas, he wanted me to watch his daughter, Jessica everyday for about 6 hours. I agreed to do that and was told he would send me a check to my house to pay for the first month, again, I agreed and gave him my address. He sent a check that looked real but thankfully I was already confused because the check came from three different places and three different names listed on there. So, I told him I put the check in the account and then he decides to tell me I need to pay someone he hired to bring toys over to me, red flag#1. I told him I did not want the job and I apologized but I did tell him that I did not put the money in my account, instead I had it reversed and shredded. He then said oh no, let it go through and keep $200 and just send the rest of the money to my new babysitter red flag #2. Now, he will not leave me alone and keeps texting me and sending fake checks to my home. He is telling me he is going to report me to the FBI and everything. I am not happy, all I wanted to do was make extra money for my family.
