Skype is great, but sometimes it becomes a pain. The reason is I bought a single country subscription for one month, but the available minutes I consumed in like 10 days, so I wanted to renew the same package by paying its monthly fee even in just 10 days, they didn't allow me to. All they said is buy our upgraded package of minutes right now, but you can't renew the old one until one month is completed, nor you can add minutes to it nor you can upgrade. Skype's video calls are good, but if your internet connection bugs a very minor or little bit, the call will start disturbance, while at the same connection with minor slow I used Google voice and it works great.
I would say a crap a company. There support staff has no sense of technical issues.
I had more than 20 domains registered and 3 hosting accounts, I transferred all the domains to my existing onlinenic reseller account and shifted the hosting to HostGator. Every week my site went down for 2-3 hours, and when you submit a support ticket, they would reply after 12 to 24 hours saying "Your websites are working fine for us. Please let us know if you have any other problem" lol...
They are all earning the business because of putting the hot chicks banners on their homepage and attractive web layout offering different stuff with many discounts.
I would strictly say anyone going to Godaddy, STOP and buy from some better company.
i totally agree with you. i never understood why people fell for the hot girls riding horses marketing ploy. it's obviously cheap! but i guess cheap sells, sadly enough.
Right, 75% of their sales are being made thru those hot chicks pictures in the banners and if you become their affiliate and get the banner code, all you will get is a hot chick offering a web hosting plan. lol
i'm ashamed to admit it but i did do business with godaddy at one point (i wrote a review, i *think* - too lazy to look and forgetful to remember). we switched over to bluehost last year. as far as i know, no problems with tricky / shady billing tactics.
Yes, we always learn from mistakes :) I also did business with them that is why I came to know what kind of company is that.
It is really a great software. Helped me a lot saving my PC from future crashes.
If you are a vendor or service provider, be sure you keep your hands safe. Specially if you are a non-US vendor. Elance only hears Americans, No matter who is at fault. If you run into a dispute, they will immediately give your funds to the buyer without asking you, even if they ask, they will end up with the victory of the buyer.
Other than that, its a good place to get projects, just be careful.

Yes, buyer posts a job and vendors place a bid on it. Buyer has the rights to choose the suitable provider for him/her.
