Review Highlights

But the worst part of the whole thing was on our return flight.

I just purchased a ticket to Paris at a good price.

FlyTelligent has been both inept and unresponsive in regards to tickets I purchased from them. I purchased tickets for my wife and myself on December 10, 2010, for a trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina. This involves about 15 hours of flying time with a stop approximately half way in Panama City, Panama. I've never flown anything but coach class before, but due to the length of the trip, the fact that I'm 6'3" and that I'm taking coumadin, we decided to fly business class. The cheapest fare I could find for coach from Los Angeles to Buenos Aires and back was $1,700 for the both of us together. Instead, I bought two round trip business class tickets from FlyTelligent for $5,226.83.

When we got to the airport the night of our travel we were told by the ticket agent at COPA Airlines that while the leg of the trip from Panama City to Buenos Aires and back was business class, the trip from Los Angeles to Panama City and on the return as well, was coach class. They told me I could call the people I bought the tickets from, which I did, but no one at FlyTelligent answered any of the numbers I had. On arrival in Buenos Aires I called and e-mailed almost every day over a period of two weeks to make sure that at least the return trip would be all business class. I got one e-mail back and no return phone calls. The e-mail promised they would reach me again but they never did. Being concerned about whether I would be able to straighten out the return trip and whether I would be able to get a refund for the mistaken leg(s) of my trip from a company that would not answer my calls or e-mails had a negative impact on my vacation time.

On my return, I began calling FlyTelligent again. Of perhaps twenty phone calls, the phone was only answered two times and I only got two calls back. I was earnestly promised that the situation would be resolved in one of those calls. I told them that I would settle for a reimbursement of the difference between what I paid for business class and what coach class would have cost me for just that leg of the trip. I calculated this to be $1,764.00. I was promised that I would receive a call back over a week ago now and have left numerous messages. Since that time I have called repeatedly and again, no one answers the phone.

I paid FlyTelligent a lot of money. I am being very reasonable about what I expect to be reimbursed. I have asked for no restitution for the discomfort I experienced on the trip nor the anticipation of an uncomfortable return flight, nor the nagging concern during the whole time I was down in Buenos Aires that FlyTelligent is a fly-by-night company who I became increasingly aware had defrauded other people and were skilled at avoiding their responsibility to their customers.

We purchased airline tickets from Sydney to Honolulu from Flytelligent. We had to cancel our trip due to medical reasons. The airline JetStar, agreed to refund our fares, and sent a check to Flytellignet. We contacted Flytellignet on 21 Oct 2010 and were assured we would receive our check within a week. To date, no check and no response to numerous telephone calls.
I attemted to write to the address in the web site, The letter was returned by the Post Office, "vacant".

Recently flew from Philadelphia to Sicily w one stop in Rome. Everything very smooth. Despite the bad reviews I read, I like the services that they offer and I did get good customer service. Will use again. A.Pignataro

Actually, I'm not reviewing the website but the company, Flytelligent, itself. I've just purchased a ticket from them. My overall satisfaction with their services is 1, with 10 the very best. On May 5 purchased ticket to Paris and return - on 25 May still no ticket despite multiple requests; travel insurace purchase the same time issued only after many requests; agents speak while I'm speaking, not listening, therefore not hearing the questions to answer: highly rude. Confirmation numbers provided did not produce an itinerary with the airline thus highly uncertain if a ticket and reservation actually reached them. Today, finally, the COO answered my message; the best he could offer in consolation for all this was a $50 voucher to use with their company!! Will I use their services again? NO

I have never had a worse experience with ANY company. Their representatives are lazy and after dealing with two of them over the course of 2 days and being ignored, I finally got to a manager only to be treated worse by them! I actually heard a manager telling a rep to just put my call to voice mail because "i wasn't his customer or his problem." They can't work the mute features on their phones, let alone get you tickets! I have been jerked around for a few days now and wish that there was something else that I could do besides just write a review on this site. Save yourself a lot of time and headache and book your trip with someone else. These guys are THE WORST!

I am astounded that this place is still in business.. kind of, granted that they can stay open by STEALING FROM YOU!

I booked a round trip flight out of SFO to London Heathrow; I made the flight into London, but discovered the night before while I was attempting to check in online that my return trip had been canceled. I immediately called flytelligent and spoke with the manager of the office – Sam. I asked Sam why my flight had been canceled, and he was unable to identify the reason of the cancellation. He asked me to hold so that he could call his "consolidator". After waiting for him, he explained that it was the airline that canceled my flight. Since I had to be back the following day I bit my lip and paid the fee. I still don't have an answer as to why the trip back was canceled. I paid. I went. I got stuck… Long story short, I was forced to pay a $400 "reissue fee". After paying for the reissue fee, and returning back to the States, they hit MY COLLEAGUE'S CARD (they ended up paying for the booking when we booked the trip) for another $160 stating that they misquoted me the ticket price when they originally confirmed the booking and that they were dinging me because my friends credit card was declined a couple times when we were booking (the bank did not allow the charges to go through because of fraud protection). I later learned the day of the booking that the credit card company placed a hold on the card because flytelligent had made four different charges to the card holder before we even confirmed a booking with them. Flytelligent has been unable to tell us why they did this in the first place. It took two days for them to reverse those initial charges!

To make things even funnier, they admitted that they attempted to charge that card holders credit card first but since that one did not work (they shut it down to flytelligent), they used mine since it was wide open. I informed them that even though they had my information, it did not give them a right to just go charge a card. They apparently don't agree.

I have already started a fraud complaint with VISA/Mastercard, and my next step is the Better Business Bureau. Care to join??

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the absolute WORST travel experience I've ever had. When I called them they quoted me a good price for a decent flight. They sent forms for me to digitally sign, confirming those flights. But the flights that I finally ended up with (weeks later) were different flights and much worse! We had multiple stops with long layovers. I was travelling with young kids, so it was really a problem. They spelled my daughter's name wrong (after I told them how to spell it) then wanted to charge me $200 to fix it. It was like pulling teeth to get them to return a call. When I finally spoke to them and complained about my flight, they said they would send me some vouchers to make up for it, but they never did. But the worst part of the whole thing was on our return flight. We got to the Rome airport and were informed by the airline that the booking for my two young children had been CANCELLED by the agency! Unbelievable! Obviously we couldn't fly without them, so we were placed on stand by. We eventually got on a flight, but were all spread out around the plane. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

hello,
i usually don't bother writing reviews good or bad in that matter, but i did purchase few tickets through these guys. The price they advertise, from what they tell me is the price without tax. At first time purchase i asked for the break down of the charges for review. I was surprised that taxes are actually almost as much as the actual fare!! Reagardless, Flytelligent came through with the price that Kayak couldnt beat. I actually requested two tickets right now from them and will come back to let you know if they deliver as in the past.

Hope this helps...

This was one of the worst travel booking experiences ever. They cancelled my return flight from Europe without telling me, leaving me stranded on the day of my planned return home. Now, they won't answer my calls to lodge a complaint. Please do not use this company.

It's more about the company. Completely unethical! The site asks for the exact date and location then gives an actual EXACT price... HOWEVER, it will not let you book and every time you phone them, they say the website doesn't actually give prices based on dates or locations given!!!

I am one of this people who usually doesn't bother with writing reviews, because I believe that customer service skills is must for any company that deals with people. But I have to admit that FlyTelligent is one of the companies that I am willing to tell everybody about. I bought a ticket from them for my trip to Paris this summer (I should mention I bought it before getting my passport done). They got me a good price, the representative was pleasant and gave me a whole shpeal of how I can always call him if I have any problems with my flight (I just took as a sales pitch at that time). Well long story short my passport doesn't make it on time for my trip. I called United waited on hold, spoke to four different people who pretty much told me that it wasn't there problem that I didn't get me passport and that the ticket is not refundable, the last guy told me to call my agent. So in tears I found the email from FlyTelligent with the agent's name and called. And this is where the magic starts: I was able to reach him almost instantly, He remembered who I was!!!!!!! And was able to cancel my ticket (I did have to pay a penalty, but I didn't lose all my money) and he issued me a gift certificate for me to use for my next flight. He was super nice (the experience itself was horrible, because I never went).
I don't know how they do it but this company is great. I was looking for a ticket to Russia this summer and went to all the usual site like, expedia, travilocity and all the tickets were all in the same price range around 1300. So I decided to do more research more and stumbled on this website. They were able to get me a ticket for 900 dollars. Thanks Flytelligent

Is flytelligent.com a legit website because the prices seem to good to be true.

I looked at them awhile ago and saw they had only been in business for less than a year so I was a little bit wary and booked on expedia instead. I see they have a real office in california and I think I might use them the next time I travel as their prices are very cheap. Definitely they are a legit company, but whether or not they deliver the tickets without any problems is another story.

I used them for a last minute flight to Bangkok a few weeks ago. They gave me a price higher than the amazingly low rates quoted on the site but still cheaper than the other quoted fares on the other travel sites (Expedia, Travelocity, Cheaptickets, Orbit). I was told for the best rates you need to book around three months in advance. And the flights to and from Bangkok were legit, despite an extra long airport wait in one leg.

We booked our flights to London through Flytelligent.com. No issues, everything went smooth. I just purchased a ticket to Paris at a good price.
Good luck..
