Just want to give everyone a heads up. I placed an order with them (bestpricephoto.com) and a day after, my credit card information had been stolen and used to make fraudulent purchases. I NEVER use this card so its no coincidence that bestpricephoto.com is to blame. A couple of other people had the same problem with their info being used to make fraudulent charges. Got the products on time but BEWARE
DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!! Do not make the same mistake I did! Early Monday I placed an order for Pentax K 5 for $1,155.00, 3 days delivery . The next day I received a call from one of their sales rep, stating that the battery included was just a demo battery, and it would only last for 30 minutes – the site does not make any mention of a demo battery! This individual also went on stating that the product would not be shipped to my work address unless my credit card company was contacted – another huge inconvenience. I reluctantly agreed, and the $1,1550 price went up to $1300. I was not very happy with this decision, but I figured they have to make one buck or two.
Tuesday, they took the money out of my account, but never received any tracking number. Thursday, I received a call stating that the camera will be shipped that day and I should receive Tuesday the following week. I naturally cancelled my order.

Latest development:
This morning I received a voicemail requesting for a call back stating the last 4 digits of my credit card had to be confirmed for my money to be refund. While speaking to Raymond, he made mentioned of the negative review I've posted. He requested for them to be taking down, so I'd receive my refund quicker.
Dear Raymond, if you thought for a second you/bestpricephoto.com was going to HOLD MY MONEY HOSTAGE for sharing my experience with others. You could have not bee more wrong!! I am not taking this down!
I'd stay away. I bought a Nikon D5100 yesterday as the website advertised it would come with a free kit AND, for a limited time, a flash attachment. I DID NOT read this incorrectly. In fact, I read it over several times.
When I called to confirm my order, the customer service rep, "Chris," very snarkily told me that I had to choose one. "If you bought this camera just because you thought you were going to get both well..." Well what, Chris? I should've known I was going to have to deal with your totally condescending attitude?
When I asked to speak to a supervisor he dodged my request for about three minutes. Then he told me his manager, "Tom" was not in the building and that he didn't know when he'd be back. Apparently supervisor Tom has "different hours everyday..." Right. False advertising, RUDE customer service reps, absent supervisors.
I say pay the extra $20 and use Amazon.
TO COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND WHY I RATED THIS AS I DID. I URGE YOU TO AT LEAST SKIM MY WHOLE RATING.
THANK YOU.

PERSONAL OPINION OF THEM/THEIR SITE
_____________________________________________________
Alright on the surface this site is pretty plane jane (normal). This site is tied hand in hand with BestPriceElectronic.com . If you click on the electronic's link you'll most likely get re-directed to bestpricephoto's site. It's a little wierd... It's quite easy to navigate, sometimes even a little awkward. In my opinion as a web designer I think that this site is quite unappealing and in places sloppily put together. But that's just me.
CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SALES
____________________________________________________________
But the thing is with the customer service, they can be a little awkward sometimes lol. For the most part these guys are spot on. They are nice, helpful and overall they know about what they are selling.
The thing about these odd sites where you can't find to many reports are you don't want to look at the good ones, you always look at the bad reports. In my research about this site, this place had a lot of good reports with few bad ones. (like any other site, everyone has a few bad reports from time to time).
Out of the bad reports about the site, I would rate them as pretty serious. Most of the bad reports are about customer service but there are a few that caught my attention as being pretty bad.
Most likely after you confirm your purchase you'll get a phone call "confirming your order". I think there is nothing wrong with this. I have visited several sites and purchased from them, without problem, that will do this. But I have heard of reports, and read a couple other reviews (from other sites) about them also trying to sell you things that might go with your purchased item/that might interest you.
Now I see no problem with this to an extent. That extent in on the site. To work as a store clerk. To help the customer get everything they need to prevent them coming back in an angry whirl yelling at you (ex. "why didn't you say i might also need a memory card?!?"). But it is utterly unprofessional and not good practice trying to sell things over the phone when you are supposed to be confirming an order.
Another bad thing about this site is, slight false advertising in a sense. They give you a "money back guarantee" and a "satisfaction guarantee". Plastered on their home page in colorful "splats!". They will be completely fine with you if you decide to exchange your product or what not, but when it comes to returning your product they will most likely charge you 10%-30% for a restocking fee. For some of the more expensive products that can add up fast.
SHIPPING
________________________________________________________
Now this is where these guys shine as they do and where I would recommend this site to you if you didn't plan on returning you product.
These guys will generally ship this to you in a very timely fashion. They will process orders, returns, and exchanges quite quickly. Their shipping costs is quite affordable and added to the deals that they most often give on their site can save you plenty of money and well as getting you product quicker for a bit less.
OVERVIEW
___________________________________________
If this was a 5 star system I would rate these guys a 3, but seeing as its not it gets a 2. But I would recommend the site depending on what you are looking for when you go to buy something online.
I would say these guys are completely safe to buy from but maybe just a little annoying at times with how they go about things.

super thorough review! thanks, taylor! i'd really only known bhphotovideo and adorama --- am in the market for a DSLR at some point over the next year. this'll help.
Thanks! =D
Did you do business with them. I gather from your review that you didn't.
I agree with John K.'s complaint. Taylor, you do not seem to have your own purchase experience with these guys. However I agree with some of the points you have made regarding their web site and upsaling-strategy nicknamed oddly enough: customer service.
I would give this site zero star if that was an option. I made the mistake of buying a camera (Nikon D7000) through them.
Prior to purchase, I called and asked them if the camera was a USA model. I got an answer of "all of our products have USA warranty". They state this on their website as well and this is the main jist of their scam. I now know that this means that you get a "warranty" through them and whatever sweatshops they deem a repair center and not the real manufacturer warranty. In fact there is no manufacturer warranty because what they sent me was a grey market camera from Hong Kong. They don't identify on their website in any way that they are selling a grey market products and in fact blatantly lied about it. This is fraud, pure and simple.
When I received the camera, there is no warranty card. I immediately called Nikon USA and confirmed that this is NOT a USA model. I immediately called BestPricePhoto and asked for a return and refund. They promptly "lost connection" while transferring me, essentially hanging up on me each time. Emails to them have gone unanswered.
I am working through my credit card to dispute this fraud. Whether I succeed or not in getting a refund, I won't stop fighting these scammers. I'm going to post this review to as many forums and review sites as I can. Hopefully someone looking to buy a camera can benefit from my experience. It's alarming to find this seller listed among legitimate merchants like Adorama and B&H and Ritz on respected sites like DPReview and Camera Labs. It lends them false credibility. I am also dubious of their "star rankings" on sites like Pricegrabber and Resellerratings and I bet a lot of these positive reviews are false self reported reviews to inflate their rankings.
In short, these people are crooks, liars and scam artists. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! You will regret it. Their prices may seem a little cheaper than other sites but there's a reason why. You won't get what you paid for and the headache and frustrations in dealing with them is more than any real saving you may get. Consider yourselves warned.
I had the exact same issue with a D7000 kit 9/23/11. They called saying it came with "demo" battery. Then the serial number was invalid on Nikon's site. The box was not shrink wrapped and there was not any documentation
were you able to dispute it? Cos I want to dispute mine too
MY PERSONAL OPINION OF THEM & THEIR WEBSITE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Their site is very easy to navigate & very easy laid out. The design could be better but its not bad. Their prices are very competitive as far as i can see from searching around online (Canon T3i) and their free shipping make it more attractive. They also offer free accessories when you buy a product from them which makes it a great deal. (even though i am not sure how those accessories are worth but they are FREE)
Their staff are very knowledgeable because i called to ask them few questions about a Digital Camera that i saw on their site and they were very polite and helpful and know what they are talking about.
Their return policy is 30 days which is enough time to take a look at your order and make sure you are happy with what you purchased.
Their Shipping turn around is very quick from reading some reviews online.
Doing some research about them i found that they have plenty of positive reviews & satisfied customers and very few with negative reviews from unhappy customer but that is fine because you can't satisfy everyone.
Overview
----------------------
I would give these guy 4 Stars because of their customer service, their prices, their free shipping on all their products & their free accessory kit that you get with your order.
I would say give them a shot and i am pretty positive you will be glad you did.
So did you actually do business with these people. Seems like you're just parroting some of their advertising pitch. Let me tell you, they promised free accessories with every sale, but there were none. They state 30 day return money back, but they hang up on you when you call to return. And a lot of those positive reviews you mention are just like yours which sound just like an advertisement but didn't describe an actual purchase with them.
You must be wrong, The overall service of BestPricePhoto is really bad
According to my todays experience with this site, this must be and probably is an obvious fake review.
Awful experience. Bought from them because of their low prices and got a call back from a very agressive salesman who urged me to buy accessories at crazy prices. He pushed and pushed and couldn't even tell me the brands of the items I was trying to buy. Needless to say, he abruptly canceled my order when I told him I just wanted to the D700 camera.
I hate to say that the customer service is the worst, they don't know how to answer customer's questions.
I wanted to know details about Nikon D5100, but he disconnected the line when I questioned them about the serial number. Serial number confirms the product is grey or not. Please be cautious to deal with these people. Even before buying the product if they don't care you, think after buying that product.
For attraction, there are few free accessories comes with the package, but I don't think there in good quality. Otherwise they should feel free to answer customer's questions.
I sent an email asking same questions, but they didn't reply.
I guess this will be helpful.
What's a grey product?
In the US, a "grey" product generally refers to one that is exported by a manufacturer to a particular country or region and is then reimported back to the US by distributors or stores. For various reasons, the product may be cheaper than ones marketed to the domestic market and so a great deal may be obtained by the US consumer.
However, many manufacturers will not offer technical support for these "grey market" products, parts and accessories may be difficult to obtain, and in many cases the warranty will be invalid. So buyer beware.
Seems like disconnecting the line and hanging up on people are the only things they are good at.
I ordered a Canon 7D and a 17-55 mm lens online and paid for next day delivery. I needed the camera for a trip in 7 days! Two days later I received a call from them saying sorry their American Express machine was not working and I need to give them another credit card, so I did. While on the phone I asked them to confirm that the camera was US legal. They said no but for $200 more I could get the US camera. Being into the order and really needing the camera I said I would pay the extra for the US camera. Two more days pass and still no camera. Calling again they promised the order was going out that day. One Friday seven days after making the next day delivery order I received the camera body but no lens. I have returned the body and purchased the camera and lens from a local store and am hoping that I will get a credit back on my card.
great service & best prices online for camera equipment
Which of their service was specifically great, isaa? You registered here in November just to announce to the whole world how great their service is?
Come on, this is another obvious fake review.
i ordered a camera from their website with ground shipping on Oct 27 recieved it 3 days later in my hand by FedEx great service & easy order process
Oh, really? Mark, may I ask you, how was your experience with their order confirmation call? Presumably it's their generally applied policy to call people to confirm their requests and I am quite curious if they called you and how did you like that.
Or is this just another obvious fake review?
At first i was a bit skeptical about bestpricephoto becuase their prices where alot lower than any where else... i had to call in the next day for my conformation number... But it was in my spam folder.. so i called in and a sales rep steve helped me out alot... so i might start buying more from them..
Jason, as this is your only review here, I am keen to believe it's a fake. You seem to be the only one having pleasant experience with their customer service representatives so far. Of course, maybe I am jsut wrong and you can easily explain to us why this is your only and so so positive yet not very specific review around here...
Scam! This is how the scam works: first, you order from their site and find an exceptionally good deal; next, they call you to confirm your order and explain some reason why you need to pay more for the product you thought you were getting.
Ordered 2k worth of gear and two weeks still no merchandise. Customer service is horrible! Said it woul arrive next day. Didn't even ship until days later
I found this website from bizrate. the prcice is competative. but have a hard time to get the approval of the credit card. use the camera for last 2 weeks. so far so good.
Great customer service, truly best price, great camcorder.
Good website and excellent prices on USA warranty products.
Placed order on line 4/21, credit card charged on 4/25, camera delivered on 4/28 by FEDEX at no charge...
Would definitely buy from them again in the future.

Jim A. I purchased on 7/22/2011 just like this person. The same thing happened to me. I had five charges on my credit card that were not from me. I had to cancel the card and wait a week for a new one. They claimed over and over that they were not responsible. I think they need to look in the mirror and address the issue
Lorraine W. Will, Sorry to here about this. I hope you get it straighten out. Thanks for sharing this, Good looking I will stay away.
Deb S. I had the same thing happen to me as well. Got a call from my bank that someone was trying to use my credit card fradulantly. I only used the card one time and it was at bestpricephoto.com.If their site is secure, as they claim, then maybe they ought to start watching what their emplyees are up to. Though I also got the products on time and eveything was in working order I will not be making any more purchases from this site.
Jim A. Hey Bestpricephoto.com, you still sticking with your story about how secure your site is?? Here are three people with the exact same problem. Wake up dude, you have a problem!!!
Raymond W. Bestpricephoto.com apologizes for your poor experience and shall strive to make our company grow in a customer friendly environment. Our company could not reach you via phone and would like to discuss your online order. From reading your post we were informed your credit card was hacked. Bestpricephoto.com apologizes for that inconvenience and surprised we were never contacted. Bestpricephoto.com shall cooperate in any manner to determine how your information was compromised. From our investigation it appears our online host had a breach and several companies’ information was leaked. Bestpricephoto.com could not identify which customer information were exposed with our online host provider. Yet our company made immediate efforts to reinforce our internet security to guarantee our client information stays protected. Bestpricephoto.com upgraded security on web servers & website to insure that any online leak shall be prevented. Bestpricephoto.com is very serious about security & ensures all transactions placed online are 100% Safe & Secured. Be advised that the internet is changing and Fraud occurs every day to all small & large companies. Bestpricephoto.com adapts to the ever changing internet and always keeps our consumer’s security a priority.
Jim A. I contacted you by email TWO times, and each time you adamantly denied that you were the source of the problem and also decided to slam me in my review posted at resellerratings.com. How professional! I went a week without access to my bank account while waiting for a new card. Well at least now you are taking responsibility... for what it is worth.
Raymond W. We understand your concern however you must understand our company was a victim and not the facilitator. When a Bank gets Robbed you do not blame the Bank for the Crime, A Cyber thief found a creative way to steal and the problem was solved. Bottom line you got your merchandise and fully reimburse by your financial institution. By blasting negative comments about our company doesn't solve the Internets growing problem of fraud.
Jim A. Yup, typical... not my fault answer. YOU are ultimately responsible for the safety of your customers information. passing it off elsewhere is nothing but a copout. I think people here have had enough of this and have enough information to make a decision to use your company or not. I know I do. Thanks to will j. for starting this thread.
Raymond W. We ship over 1000s of brand new merchandise within a business day. Internet fraud is a constant battle and ensure all our customers a Safe & Secured environment. If your not confident with our company your entitled to your opinion. However, your poor experience was a result of a hack we had no control over.
Raymond W. Here is an Article of all your favorite companies which got hacked as well:
Epsilon hacking exposes customers of Best Buy, Capital One, Citi, JPMorgan Chase and others
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/technology/2011/04/epsilon-cutsomer-files-email-addresses-breached-including-best-buy-jpmorgan-chase-us-bank-capital-on.html
A company which ignores the problem you should stay away from. As you can read we are well aware and continue to conduct a friendly, safe, secured, shopping experience.
will j. To say you don't blame the bank is horrible this problem is just now being addressed. Ive found people with the same experience as me that dated back since the beginning of the year.they where given the same "our site is secure "meme check your financial institute . Bestpricephoto should have investigated THEN and made the proper upgrades. This breach haas been happening for months and you have done nothin but blame the consumers finacial institute until now. What took so long? Why did you ignore the complaints of fraud
? Stuff happens, but being proactive is one thing doing nothing is neglect.
will j. Raymond that article was dated in april. So I hope that you guys weren't apart of that hack. Because doing so means you already knew in april. And still did nothin
Raymond W. Dear customer,
Bestpricephoto.com acknowledges concerns and made the necessary adjustments to continue a safe & secured shopping experience, we hope you enjoy the rest of the year.
will j. Yea I didnt think you would answer a single question...ha I guess as long as I type bestpricephoto.com this page will eventually be ranked on the front page and future customers can already get a heads up
Dale L. happened to me too, jsut days after using my card, it was being used for internet porn etc. Best price photo was the only place i used it for months.
