My experience ordering a replacement laptop battery was perfect, but...

The replacement battery pictured on LaptopBatteryExpress.com exactly matched the battery originally installed in my Lenovo P70 laptop, but when the battery arrived it was a third-party brand (not Lenovo) and did not have the same power storage capacity as the original battery.

Pictures on the website apparently represent you're trying to replace, not the item they're selling. If the seller is offering a different product than the one pictured -- especially when they lead you to believe they're selling identical replacement batteries -- there should be a lot of language describing the battery being sold as a substitute for the pictured battery. You should also include information about how the substitute battery differs technically from the original battery that's pictured.

The replacement battery I received was not identical to the original manufacturer's battery that was pictured. The replacement battery was not Lenovo and the power storage capacity was less than the original battery, which I only figured out after I installed the battery and looked at the battery details in Windows.

The original retail battery price was $192, which I would expect for this particular Lenovo battery, but then the actual price was discounted down to $112, which was in the price range of other sellers. It was my belief at the time of sale that these original and discounted prices were for a Lenovo replacement battery. I don't know the replacement battery industry; like most people, I'm just a laptop user, but I'm betting Lenovo batteries are more expensive than third-party batteries. I can't speak to value or quality only having used the battery for a week.

Overall, however, the order process was perfect. My order was shipped within an hour of having placed the order, which I thought was EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. Even though the replacement battery wasn't a Lenovo brand battery, on the bright side, it has been working perfectly! My assessment of LaptopBatteryExpress is that they sell quality replacement batteries, but they should be more transparent about what the product pictures mean (the pics only help you match your existing battery with a replacement), they are not selling original manufacturer batteries (as pictured), and in what ways their substitutes deviate from the original manufacturer's battery.
