I am forced to use ID.Me to access my SSA account. I have stage 3 colon cancer and have a current application for disability through the SSA, and need to check the status. I moved to Sierra Vista AZ on 2 February 2024, and on 24 February I accessed my ID.me account to update my address and password. On 25 February I attempted to access my SSA account only to find out that my ID.me account was "Temporarily" suspended. "Temporarily" is in quotes because it is now 7 March and my account is still suspended. On the 25th of February I sent in a trouble ticket to ID.me as they requested, and I responded to the followup email demanding more information, which I gave. I have submitted a trouble ticket every day since, with no $#*!ing response or action from ID.me other than the aforementioned automated emails which I responded to as well. Yesterday I filed complaints with the BBB and FCC regarding this issue. ID.me should be stripped of their contracts and consigned to the fires of Hell. Why didn't I call customer service about this? ID.me does not have $#*!ing phone support, only their $#*!ing trouble tickets that they refuse to act upon.
I would have given this review 0 stars, but the system would not allow it. Please, please, please, if you value your life and security, do not use this service.
