I signed up in January/February for personal training, right before COVID. I was informed at time of signing that I could cancel the membership after 6 months without any issues. Initially I went to the gym I signed up to and they could not help. They suggested that I contact the customer services, I called many times and finally got through on 8/3/2020 after being on hold for 43 minutes and they proceeded to inform me I could only either suspend my account for two months or pay half in order to get out of it. I explained that I am facing reduced hours at work, and unable to keep up with payments. Also I was told when I initially joined that I could cancel after 6 months. Also I do not feel like it's safe to go into any gym right now. She forwarded my information to the VP of Personal training in my area named Miles who was also unhelpful and told me the same thing. He then hung up on me during the call and told me to contact him when I decide what I want to do based the two options he gave me. I just want to warn others and let you know to be aware of what a scam this gym is before you sign up for anything with them
