I was charged far more that I had been led to believe: the hotel price is in big bold red type (plus fees and taxes, to be expected), however they don't make it obvious that ALL FUNDS ARE IN US DOLLARS. I thought my total was $250, but I was charged $338.
Why would a Canadian, using a Canadian credit card, booking a Canadian hotel, ever think they would be paying in USD?!
That big bold red price was all by itself - no asterisk. At the bottom in fine print was a double asterisk saying all funds in USD. But the function of the asterisk is to be BESIDE THE PRICE so that you know to look for more information.
I called their customer service number and got blahblahblah and no solution. I have the physical address for the company. PITA. I'll share it here:
