Don't believe all that you read. Yes they do make it super easy to send your material in. The question you need to ask yourself is "why are they able to provide free shipping and such a lot of marketing and discount gimmicks?" It is certainly not because they are making such great payouts. The reason I called them was because of their claim of how good their payouts were. However, when I called, they were reluctant to give any quote until they had my product "in-hand"... even though I knew the purity and weight of my (in this case) silver ingots. I am a "hobbyist" refiner. My silver bullion is made from silver crystal produced in electrolytic silver cells. I know the quality of my product. Only when pushed did they reluctantly tell me that they would pay between 70% and 90% of the spot price silver depending on purity. Really?! For anyone who knows a little, 10% under spot on pure silver is not at all good. One might as well walk down to the corner pawnshop for that kind of offer. I told them this, whereupon the representative reverted to a script (this is my guess) and informed me that they would (of course) match any offer. This is how the rep proceeded to now divert the onus to me to go and spend my valuable time researching and shopping around just so that I could go back to them and prove how low their offer was (why would anyone do this?... seriously). Absurd. IMO the "modus operandi" is formed in exploiting uninformed people who do not understand the value of what they have and are just happy to get some money for their "stuff". I felt that instead receiving a fair, transparent, and "good faith" offer at the opening, I had been served a course of "smoke & mirrors" tactics. It was only after the call when I digested the conversation, that I realized that the majority of people calling likely know little about metals and values of scrap metals and are therefore just happy to get some cash. Of course this strategy is by no means illegal, or anything like that... perhaps somewhat unethical; and not exactly in "good faith"; or transparent. Frankly, I prefer to deal with persons who are upfront and transparent... If I tell you I have 60 toz of three nines fine silver, just tell me what you will pay me in relation to spot. Don't try to feed me a bunch of reasons why you cannot give me a straight price as related to spot until you actually receive the product in-hand. Usually, I don't write reviews, but these kind of business practices really irk me. So, if I can provide a little information that will help some lesser informed people make better decisions, then this has been worth my time to sit and write.
