Even for a free event, Eventbrite sucks. The interface is convoluted and inflexible. I'm an Art Director with more than 20 years experience. I have enough experience and technical know-how to know how bad Eventbrite is.

Make sure you're reviewing the correct site.

As many people have said, this is a classic bait and switch. They advertise an ONGOING free option after the "14-day Free Trial"

As can be clearly seen from the screen shot below from their "help center" page under "plans and pricing," they claim that the free option is available including for one DYNAMIC QR Code (plus 5 static codes). But when you click on the link "To activate the Free Plan and view our paid plans, click here." it goes to the pricing page where there is NO FREE OPTION.
