I have epilepsy and other neurological issues. It's important to know why you're sleepy during the day--I don't have diagnosed narcolepsy, but either an underlying issue or side effects from meds sure make me feel like I do. This is my experience, which is always changing, so please understand your own sleepiness/alertness needs before deciding what and whether to take these meds. Modafinil (100 mg) has given me back a meaningful energy (not the same amount/intensity/duration each time, which is attributable, perhaps, to the quality of sleep the night before, whether I've had alcohol the night before, etc.) to extract a few hours a day of productivity that I did not have prior; I just wish it lasted longer. I do feel armodaxl gives a mood boost as well that I don't detect with the straight up modafinil. Best wishes to all. Energy, once you lose it, seems to be the elusive skeleton key to life.
