American home shield is a scam company I sent in my receipts to American home shield in January. I have still not received a check and every time I called them they informed me that I need to give them 21 more days. I told them it's been more than 30 days and I know they received my receipt because I got an email confirmation. They said they don't care that I need to give them 21 more days. After 10 days I called them back and was told I need to give them 21 more days. I wish they would just tell me we're never going to pay you so we can stop playing the games. I filed a grievance with the insurance board. I looked up American home shield and there are hundreds of complaints against them. Many for the same thing of never getting a check from them. Please use a different company
Tip for consumers:
I had to purchase a cooktop myself because American home shield will not do anything to help. The contract states they will replace an item that cannot be repaired. They neither replaced it nor paid me for the replacement I had to do. This company is nothing but a fraud and a scam

Just a follow-up to my last review. Still no help from American home shield. Still no refrigerator still no check, this company is a total scam. They have done nothing to help me but look for ways to make me pay more. I keep begging people to find another company. This one is nothing but a scam

Please don’t use American home shield. After they screwed me over I’ve seen hundreds of reviews about how bad this company is. They have done nothing but insult me, treat me badly, and try to get me to pay more money. Please find another company

I had to buy my own cooktop. Still waiting for a check from American home shield which I’m sure will never come.
