As a member for some 18 months and not a Londoner, there's a lot of different views on what Scooploop is. Some would have you believe that it is totally unregulated and aliases abound everywhere - that is not true, yes they are about but mainly in the unfortunately open groups that only new members can look at, and this tends to give the wrong impression.
Closed groups do not often take new members for fear of letting in a disruptive person or alias, they tend to look at how they integrate with posts and the replies they give, but it is worthwhile going the distance so you can join them plus there are quiz, cookery, green, animal groups and many more for most interests.
I am a moderator for a small private group, and sometimes a member will complain and I will look and action as I see fit, but I can be overruled by scooploop if I am wrong as happened for the first time recently. Moderators are volunteers that start a group of their own, or are voted in by the members of that group.
To sum up Scooploop is what you make it.
