I reserved a place to stay for 4 nights in the Fall of 2017 and paid with my Citi card. I was contacted by the place 2 days before my stay and told I would not have a place to stay. I disputed the charges as I had paid for something I did not receive. After several months of working with Citi, since they couldn't get the merchant to refund - they would not refund the fraudulent transaction. So much for using the card with peach of mind! American Express would have protected us in this situation - Shame on Citi!
