I recently had an issue (10. 21. 15). I have been selling items from my storage unit. I sold a new without tags blazer from Jcrew to a buyer with whom I had had regular communication regarding the item.
She received the item and reported it as "not as described". Poshmark informed me that the buyer had sent pictures of as evidence of whatever was "not as described". Then when the case was closed, Poshmark informed me that the item "had an odor". How was that determined from a picture?!
All of the items I am currently selling are from my SEALED wardrobe box in an air-conditioned facility. In the past two weeks, I have sold items from said storage without any problem, I even received 2 -5 star ratings.
There is absolutely no seller protection and these ridiculous buyers get away with purchasing an item, wearing it for one day [ NOTE THE THREE DAY WAIT BEFORE THE SELLER GETS THEIR MONEY] and then returning it for a full refund! Its absolutely ridiculous.
On another occasion, there have been two, the buyer returned an item because she said it was "not as described" and then provided pictures of a torn dress! I didn't mail out a torn dress but I sure received a torn dress back which I then had to pay to get fixed and then resell on EBAY.
Poshmark protects its buyers, but its the sellers that are giving them money and we should be protected from scammers and liers!
NOTE: I have been selling items on Ebay hassle free since 2005. I have received one negative feedback in 10 years and that was because I shipped an item late.
