I had a great experience with eChineseLearning.com! I got a job teaching English in China, but when I arrived, I didn't speak any Chinese. Everything was difficult - I couldn't order food, sign up for a bank account or phone plan, or do anything on my own. I didn't want to be a burden to my Chinese friends any longer, so I decided to start learning Mandarin twice a week with eChineseLearning. I've only been taking classes for three months, but already I can buy food, have simple conversations with my neighbors, and talk with my students in Mandarin! I am still definitely not fluent and will have to put in a lot more hours of class and practice before I am, but I feel way more like a functioning adult than I did before.
