Shockingly, shockingly bad business! Sent a balloon to a 4 yr old for their birthday (and not a cheap one) but when it arrived it was deflated. The child's mum phoned up balloon king where she was abused by a woman and accused of deflating the balloon herself! She was asked to PROVE the balloon was deflated!?! She was told they WOULD NOT offer a refund (despite them claiming on their site to offer one). She was told to send the balloon back which she did at her own expense using first class pacel post. After not hearing anything for ONE WEEK she phoned again and was met with more abuse! She was told that they had reinflated the same balloon and that it was fine so were going to send it back at some point by second class post! Bear in mind that this was a gift for a small child whose birthday has now long since past! I then phoned up to complain and COULDN'T BELIEVE the rudeness of the woman I spoke to. She lied when I asked to speak to a manager (there is no manager!) and repeatedly said she did not care that the balloon was delivered damaged and that a small child had been very disappointed. When asked if she could send something to the child as compensation, she said "why should I?" When asked how the child's mum could get a refund for posting the balloon back, she said to prove the cost of postage (even though she had seen the postage on the box she received from her!). All I heard from her was "I don't care, I don't care". What a SHOCKING way to run a business. To accuse someone of deflating a balloon, then send back the same damaged balloon is awful! They said the balloon should stay inflated for 2 weeks - after all this time waiting it will be deflated again by the time it arrives! IN MY OPINION I would avoid this site at all costs until they learn to value their customers and learn some basic customer service skills!
