I have used GearBest 3 times now. Each time I have had issues. The worst was the first time. I had an order of over $80 and I assumed (like 90% of online stores) that I would recieve my product within a week or so. After 2 and a half weeks I was fed up and opened a ticket on the issue.
They told me that the item was Out Of Stock. But I already paid for the d*** thing (a lot of money). They said they would ship the next one they got in.
Nearly a week later I got an email informing me that there was another problem. I would tell you what the problem was, but they hardly told me! Just something going wrong in shipping, which took them a few days to sort out.
About 5 days later they emailed me again with yet ANOTHER problem! The shipping method I selected (btw it was the default method) was not avaliable. I live here in the U.S. and I have never had an issue with flat-rate shipping. They had to change my shipping to another method and refunded me $0.01.
I got the product a week later. Over a month since I paid for it.
My next order was ordered back on July 5th. It is now the 16th, and just began shipping the otherday.
My current order is now messed up, and I already paid $45! They said there was an issue with my payment/address. I used my saved information on my PayPal and on their site to order this product, but I decided to look it over anyways and EVERYTHING MATCHED. I had already paid the price in full.
I am now awaiting a response from their staff to inform me how, somehow, MY Paypal was wrong? What? It works on everyother site ive used n the past 7 years. And the money was taken from my bank. So If they cant find the money, its on them, not me.
GearBest may have good prices, but you pay more than full price in stress. It is not worth your time or the few bucks you may save on their products.
Time to update! As of today, 7/17/15 my order had to be cancled and refunded (for less than I paid) because they were not only out of stock on the product, BUT THEY WOULD NO LONGER BE RECIEVING ANY MORE OF THE PRODUCT!
They NEVER e-mailed me saying this, and if they have a customer who has already paid $45, they should have ordered more to fill in for any other customers who already purchased the item!
Goodbye GearBest. You site is Bull**** wrapped up in a pretty bow. I feel sorry for your website designer. He sold his soul for your ill-gotten money (which was probably lost in shipping)
