I love the Mikasa before since the quality of the Japanese born china. But recently, the quality is going down fast. A good china should have the glaze cover everything including painting, stamp, trade mark and signature. I bought some plates from HomeGoods and only one wash before using, one of them lost the bottom stamp which became to 99 cents store stuff, no trademark, nothing.
I found the stamps were above the glaze, without the country origine and in a careless way being put on the plates. Those stuff ruined the Mikasa's reputation.
