I know that it pays its president very well. When Elizabeth Dole was president in 90s she was paid close to $2.5 million. The much maligned NPR investigate Red Cross 2010 Haiti effort. It found that Red Cross built 6 houses in Haiti. If they walked across the street and told a resident that they be better of hammering something hanging loose, they recorded it as building a house. Red Cross is very secretive. It refused to open its books to Congress. Their administrative costs are 25 percent. When they collect a lot of money, they give money to other charities which take another 25% cut, the end receiver getting 30% of total. I give ~$250 +|- $50 every year to it. Not anymore. I used to give wounded warrior before a similar scam was unearthed.
