I drive very little, so MetroMile was initially great. But, when it came time for my six-month renewal, my rate increased dramaticallly, though no specifics (miles driven, credit rating, etc.) changed. When I asked Metromile to explain this increase, they would not give me a concrete answer. And, I asked more than once. So, I am left to assume they raised my rates just because they could. Be warned. I am not the only person who has experienced this ploy.
