I used to have the Skyscanner app on my mobile until their providers soon became reason enough for me to stay away. The Skyscanner providers for both flights and hotels engage in very fraudulent business practices which will end up costing the consumer not only financially, but also with their time, efforts, and most importantly, TRUST.
In my case, I needed a flight so you will notice that when you check the "deals" for whichever service you need, there is a huge disparity between certain "providers" and the recognizable others such as: Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, etc. This is because those other unreliable providers falsely advertise low fares. After clicking the booking button for that low fare; customers to go through a "booking process", then sends a booking confirmation email with caveat of "THIS IS NOT YOUR E-TICKET". When the customer clicks link to print e-ticket, it states to "CHECK BACK IN 2 HOURS". After 2+ hours and you call Skyscanner's providers customer service out of concern of your presumed e-ticket; this is where the BAIT & SWITCH process occurs. The provider will offer another fare and other dates, but they still won't give you an e-ticket? So you are back to square one and possibly owing more money and added stress than you'll need.
I am EXTREMELY disappointed by Skyscanner's approved providers and lack of monitoring their performance and bad business practices. I have come to the conclusion that Skyscanner should no longer have my business in the future as well as highly recommend that you should not either. I do not state these items lightly but please make note of this review as I have provided proof of my purchase which was not handled properly by Skyscanner or their provider.

ExploreTrip has proven time and time again that they are not a reliable provider for purchasing air fares. Case in point, their e-ticketing process requires an approximate wait time of +2 hours or longer AFTER entering your credit card info as well as an email confirmation being sent to you. The +2 hours process requires ExploreTrip to then MAKE THE RESERVATION on your behalf?!?!
In the meantime, the traveler is given only petty "reassurances" or excuses how complicated the airline industry ticket pricing can be.
After +5 hours, the obligatory back pedaling of how they can assist you on another airline at different times than what you originally requested and received email confirmation (ExploreTrip will state their policy on email confirmation as their "get out of jail free" card). This is a basic "BAIT & SWITCH" strategy that seems to be what they're known for. ExploreTrip will continue to be on top of Skyscanner's list because they'll use that same low fare (almost 40% less than competitors) to bait the traveler even though it does not exist any longer. You know... false advertising or FRAUD.
I've already warned Skyscanner's customer service department regarding this bad business practices from ExploreTrip. However, Skyscanner continues to use this provider and actually places stake on ExploreTrip's 5 star ratings (bogus because employees have written them).
This does not bode well with Skyscanner at all. It will only be a matter of time until this site does a thorough review of all REPUTABLE providers and conducts periodic evaluations in order to weed out the biggest offenders such as ExploreTrip.
