I purchased a pair of Express vintage pants advertised as a 4 for $22. When I received the pants, the pants were in no way a 4. I have been wearing pants, both vintage and new, for decades and am familiar with both vintage and current sizing. The pants were HUGE on me.
I contacted the seller and her response was to ask me if my problem was with the waistband, which was a little large on her, and a photo showing her wearing the pants - with very high heeled shoes - so they don't trail on the floor. Poshmark denied the claim because they don't refund for sizing issues and said it was my responsibility to contact seller for measurements prior to ordering.
I re-opened the case, stating that it was not a sizing issue, but an issue of the item not marked as described because there was information stating that there was no size tag in the advertisement. No response.
I then opened up a case with the Better Business Bureau, which is pretty speedy about sending complaints to the company.
Lo and behold, a day after I opened the case with the BBB, I received another email from Poshmark stating that they were denying my refund again because THE SELLER HAD STATED THERE WAS NO TAG ON THE GARMENT, THE GARMENT WAS 'ABOUT' A 4, AND TO CONTACT HER FOR MEASUREMENTS! Her private message to me had also been revised, stating that she had said there was no garment tag on the pants!
This is a first for me. For a company to retroactively falsify records for the amount of $22 (tne price of the pants) and shipping is unbelievable. Now, I don't believe a seller was capable of changing her own sold listings, so it had to be the company.
Fortunately, they had forgot to falsify the invoice, which said it was a 4, not: no size available, etc., and i took a screenshot and saved it. I just opened up a case with Paypal for a refund.
Please, anyone who reads this, contact the state attorney general in California and ask them to investigate this company! Also, I am going to investigate a class action lawyer and other should follow suit.
