MY experience living at 2504 se 19th pl homestead fl ******* was horrible the lanlord lives in atlanta she's a fraud and full of BS. I've stayed there a yr i just moved out 03/12/24 she took $500 bucks from my deposit because i wouldn't let a potential buyer come in my home before my lease ended she was eager for money and seemed money hungry but lets fast foward when i first spoke with her otp she seemed to be a sweet person up until i denied people she wanted to send to my home. She constantly harrassed me everyday about that then she went on to cry and scream in the phone saying how she's broke and depend on the tenants money to get by in life and that her daughter has health issues she kept sobbing about her husband being in brazil and he's not helping her. She asked me to stay another yr i told her i didn't want to she got upset about that so me being the good person that iam i told her ok. That's until i learned of a rodent issue living in the deep end of my home. I started to see rat droppings all throughout the unit. I had my 3 kids to relocate in my room where i would hold them hostage for that last month of me being there to keep them safe from the rats that carry diseases and they some how made their way in my kids room i found roden droppings in the their bed and they had piss in my living room and everywhere else they could mark their territory i told her about it she tried to act like she didn't know what i was talking about i told her i was going to report it to section 8 she said she was going to send her fraud a**£ realtor mateo to fix the issue he never showed up i end up calling the office to the unit they sent someone to fix the issue but nothing worked i told her i couldn't stay there in those conditions after that that's when things got worse with her. She showed her true colors she txt me and called me numerous of times screaming at me then it was times i would ignore her because i didn't want to hear her BS. We had kept in touch almost everyday up until it was time for me to vacate she told me she was flying in from atl to look at the unit before she give me the deposit but instead she lied and sent mateo to come see the unit. I had everything nice and clean nothing was out of order mind you when i first moved the place was smelly and dirty from the previous tenants or whoever was there(idk) i went above and beyond to make sure it was spotless i spend extra dollars buying new paint and blinds that i didn't have to do i thought i was doing her a favor due to the fact mostly everything was old and run down. She put on an act like as if she was a good person and i kinda fell in her trap. The realtor gets there look around not saying anything here i am calling her phone over 15 times while he was there she didn't answer the phone when she had told me to call her once he got there the whole time he was there he was taking pics and otp speaking spanish knowing i don't speak a bit of spanish i found that very rude. Anyway i asked him why wasn't she answering the phone he said he didn't know when i know for a fact he had been talking to her he goes outside still not saying anything about giving me my deposit. So he puts the lockbox on the door and proceeds to walk off i said hey what's going on with my money i want my funds he looks me dead in my face and says this house is dirty i don't like the way the walls are painted etc. i said lets go back inside and view this again cause obviously we're not looking at the same unit. He says the tub is dirty i said no that mold and mildew been there and i had informed carol of this situation months ago she did nothing about it. So i call carol back she finally answers the phone now we get in an heated argument i said hey what's going on with my funds because this is not the agreement you and i had you said i was getting my money back she said no i don't like how it looks mind you she's going off of what mateo told her she wasn't there. And i have pics and videos from when i first moved up until the day i left everything looks excellent compared to how it looked before.besides the shower in the master bedroom that was already like that when i moved in. I tried all kinds of chemicals to removed the mold and mildew nothing worked when i scrubbed and scrubbed it removed a little bit of mold but not a 100% and i had spoke to her about this and she said she knows and that its fine and for me not to worry about anything i believed her and i took her word. But she lied. And tried to act like i left her place in a mess when she had problems that i pointed out when i first moved in she told me "i'm taking $500 out to pay someone to clean and re-do the paint " when nothing was wrong at all. This is a tatic that she uses to get tenants money i ran into the previous tenants and they revealed that the same exact thing she did to me she did it to them saying that they didn't clean or fix anything come to find out its an ongoing thing with her they intentionally leave the place looking a certain kind of way so they can blame someone for something that they fkd up themselves. I mean i called someone to fix an electrical problem that she had when it wasn't my job to do i did it thinking i was satisfying her but i guess my good heart didn't work. She took money from me that she wasn't entitled to. And it was not right. And today is 03/13/24 she is still txtn my phone bragging about how she got away with $500 bucks like its joke but guess what i keep everything documented and i have pics and txt messages and have paperwork from when the office sent someone to fix a rodent issue. She will be getting served court papers this is not right and my advice to anybody that's looking into renting that unit to stay far far away she's fraud she will take your money play victim and laugh about it later. She will get her karma very soon. Be aware there's rats all througout the unit. Btw its more i want to share but there's a typing limit so i'll keep it like this. I hope this helps
