I had a really terrible experience with another company (Davids Bridal) and their dresses. So when I found this very similar one online with JJs House, I was quite excited. I was concerned that it would have something wrong with it, wouldn't make it in time for the wedding, or wouldn't fit. I opted to utilize the custom measurement option. I was able to select the exact color I wanted (which was not an option with the other company) and put in my exact measurements. The time line said it would arrive with a week left before my wedding so I could scramble and find something on the fly if I absolutely had to. I read the reviews here and on ResellerRatings and there were so many extremely negative reviews that I was seriously worried. This review is not solicited by any one, I just figured I should submit my two cents on the issue since there are so many bad reviews out there. Despite being worried, NOTHING was working out for me here at difficult and shabby Davids Bridal... so I gave this a shot. The process of making my order was easy and convenient. The day my dress was supposed to ship, it still did not show as shipped on the website. So I messaged them and got a response back within a couple hours. They explained that it had not shipped however it was complete and Quality Control was looking over it. The next morning (in their time zone) it had shipped and I had a UPS tracking number. To my complete astonishment, the shipping I thought would take 5-7 business days took 36 hours. I live in an extremely remote town up in the mountains and things don't even make it to me that quickly from the neighboring town! How did a box get from China to my itty bitty town overnight? CRAZY! Anyway, it was packaged well, everything was as expected, I don't need to press or steam it, it fit my measurements exactly! I would say I had the perfect experience with them and I'm confused by all of the horror stories out there. I have ordered twice from them now and both times received my packages faster than expected. I never had to pay an import tax or tariff for either box at any time. I can't speak for the Europeans (they seem to have had the worst experiences) but for me in rural USA, this REALLY worked out and I would definitely order from them again, but I would always use the custom measurement option. And be sure to take your measurements EXACTLY as you are supposed to. Take them multiple times. Read all of the terms and conditions of the website before ordering. It DOES say on their site that depending on which country you are shipping the item to, there may be custom/import fees. It also says to check with your country's customs to be aware of those policies. China can't just break the law of your country, so you will pay the import fee via COD. Take note on the expected time line before you order... so you know when you will receive your dress and factor that in to your decision. If you are smart about ordering, it can work for you. If you don't do your duty in the process by being accurate with measurements and researching what you should expect, then you will likely end up frustrated because they do not do returns or exchanges. I am a pleased customer and the company has no idea this review is about to post.
