I bought a wedding dress from lightindreaming.com and just needed a minor alteration due to my size. The tailor who altered my dress was amazed at the quality. I was just lucky that my dress was incredible and I'm glad I didn't spend more than a couple of hundred on it.
I saved a lot of money on my wedding dress by buying online. ;)
