There should be a zero stars setting in my opinion. The only reason I gave a star is there is no way to write a review with no stars.
I rarely write reviews but this is one case where I think people need to be informed. If you only want to talk on the phone or text then you are probably fine using straight talk service. I have used the service for over a year and here is what I have found. Each month, usually a week or so before time to renew my plan, the hotspot stops working and will not turn on. Here is where the fun begins. I text help to ******* and get a list of how much data there is left. Plenty of data left so I call customer dis-service. By this time I have put off calling and have already paid for the next month of service so I can keep receiving calls and texts messages. Still no hotspot so I know that it is not because of data usage. I never stream or watch vids on my phone so my data use is low. I pay for the $55 plan also. No reason why it stops working, right? Wrong! Every month the same thing. After spending hours on the line with non-english speaking reps and getting hung up on over and over, still cannot get it to work.
I happened to get some help after half a day on the phone by a supervisor who simply pressed a button or two and presto! It works. So I have lost a week of service at the front of the month and a week of service at the end of the month and only get 2 weeks worth of service for my $55 payment. No refunds are ever offered and no plan extension dates are given.
This month, I had the same problem, called, got hung up on more than 4 times over a three day period on the phone with customer support and still no fix. The highest customer service person said the only thing that we can do is factory reset the phone and loose all data, photos, etc. that are not backed up. I have had enough!
In summary, if you need a hotspot even for minimal use for more than 2 weeks, don't try this crap of a service. If the plan was $20 a month, I could see trying to make it work but AT&T has plans for less and I expect their plans will work. I will be switching! By the way, it does not matter if you use auto enroll or not cause I tried that too. Same results.

Tip for consumers:
The hotspot will not work for long and no one can help you.

Products used:
Cell phone and data service.
