Here, if you cancel, the subscription ends immediately, you don't get the rest of the subscription period you paid for. So it's up to you to remember when to cancel because there is no, "do not auto-renew" function. Overall, the site is vague about everything from subscriptions to the meaning of functions like "hide." It's not that hard to engineer these functions so I have to guess it is intentionally vague.

Match.com does auto-charge people without notice AND then if you contest the charge, and lose, they will freeze your account for the duration of your membership. So not only do you get charged, but you also don't get to use the service that you didn't want but paid for! This company deserves to be shut down.
